"Twelve Feet Wide" is...

"Twelve Feet Wide" is a new campaign to boost the width of main UK motorways in a bid to cut congestion. It"s been launched by a conglomerate of powerful transport organisations - including the AA and RAC - who reckon the move would increase safe capacity by a third. They want the Government to support road-widening schemes in its long-term plans. Targeted routes include the M1, M4, M6, M25 and M62.

But it will wear two different manufacturers" badges, depending on where it"s being sold. In countries where Renault is already established, it will get the Dacia nameplate. However, in places such as Russia, where the French maker has no significant presence, the car will be badged Renault.
