It"s only been on display for a week, but already the price is rising. This is the TVR Tuscan 2 Convertible, star of the facelifted Tuscan range. The Blackpool firm has sold 35 models since it was unveiled at the Motor Show, and as a result it"s putting up the entry-level price from í‚á£39,750 to í‚á£41,750 as soon as the Birmingham event is over. The flagship is í‚á£49,995.

In the middle row of chairs is an engineer with a laptop, while directly below him is the nickel metal hydride battery pack, which provides the power for the petrol/electric drivetrain.

With green very much the theme at this yearò€™s LA show, even more eco-driving gadgets emerged from its stands.

Following in the footsteps of Fiatò€™s EcoDrive system, reviewed recently on the 500, two more manufacturers have now launched similar systems.

The dashboard device on Hondaò€™s next generation Insight not only collects data on driving style, its gives instant feedback too! The Eco Assist System features a gauge sporting leaf symbols, which illuminate to show just how green their driving is. An economy button will also remap the ECU for an even more frugal drive.

Ford has launched a similar system to the Eco Assist on its forthcoming Fusion. Its SmartGauge with EcoDrive tells owners how to get the most miles out of their hybrid.
