Naturally, I went shopping...

Naturally, I went shopping when I was in the world"s consumer capital last week. But, by steering clear of US-made goods, I saved more money than usual. Don"t write us off ò€“ thatò€™s the message from Jason Plato and his SEAT team as the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship takes a breather before the second half of the season starts at Snetterton in mid-July. Who said electric cars...

Who said electric cars had to be slow? Audi has stolen the show in Frankfurt with a fully electric supercar based on the R8.

Known as the e-tron, it swaps the V8 or V10 powerplants of the R8 for a set of four electric motors, giving it a combined power output of 308bhp and a massive 4,500Nm of torque.

And the styling is just as impressive as the performance. The one-piece grille, multispoke alloy wheels and minimalist interior all helped it to stand out in the bustling motor show crowds.
