All are destined to...

All are destined to hit the road over the next six months - and several are being tipped for Britain. It"s the Note, which as our official picture shows, bears more than a passing resemblance to the Modus from parent company Renault. Visually, the newcomer isn"t much different to the standard model, although it gets a revamped front grille and rear bumper. Under the skin, the S boasts uprated suspension and a modified edition of the 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo engine, which now develops 612bhp and 1,000Nm of torque. The model made its debut at this week"s Geneva Motor Show, and will cost more than í‚á£250,000.

There was a blast from the past at this week’s Specialty Equipment Market Association show (SEMA) in Las Vegas. Pontiac revealed a concept that looked like a vintage racer.

The Solstice SD-290 has a unique single passenger compartment, with an individual windscreen and a rear view mirror mounted on the bonnet. There is no word on the engine, but expect it to be environmentally friendly – as the theme of 2007’s SEMA event is cars that are mean and green.

In keeping with this, Tonight Show TV host Jay Leno displayed his bioethanol Corvette Z06, which delivers more than 600bhp.
