With a deep front splitter...

With a deep front splitter, low side skirts and high rear wing, it"s more aggressive looking than ever - and the style is backed up by the dynamics. The newcomers are designed...

The newcomers are designed to give extra grip in bad weather conditions to models with wide, low-profile tyres on up to 18-inch rims.

First launched in 2002, AutoSock slides over rubber with less fuss than conventional snow chains. The manufacturer claims metal links and studs are not needed, as the snow and ice stick to the fabric, improving grip at a fraction of the cost and effort of chains. A pair of socks for the driven wheels comes with gloves, a user manual and a storage bag to keep the boot clean.

AutoSocks are available for cars and light commercial vehicles, and have been approved by BMW, Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes, Toyota and VW. The low-profile range costs from ÷£74.95 – that’s around ÷£15 more than the original items suitable for rims down to 14 inches.

AutoSock, price: ÷£59.95, buy from: www.autosock.co.uk
