The new Astra is almost here! Vauxhallò€™s stunning newcomer makes its official debut this Wednesday, but the game has almost been given away with this revealing teaser image.

The stylish newcomer will share much of its styling DNA with the larger Insignia. As you can see from this image, which features Astra designer Marc van der Haegen and engineer Laszlo Kreth, the new model boasts a more angular look, with a much more more rakish and curvy shape.

Itò€™ll be larger too for class leading passenger room while a wider track should mean even sharper handling dynamics. Vauxhall will show off its new star to the public at September"s Frankfurt Motor Show, before the car goes on sale in the UK at the end of the year. In the meantime, come back to www.autoexpress.co.uk on Wednesday for exclusive images and details of the new Astra.
