The image-based NavPix...

The image-based NavPix system appears on two new models, the iCN720 and iCN750. Pictures are linked to exact geographical destinations, so that choosing a picture of the London Eye will give you direction from where you are to there, without needing to know its street address, or its postcode.

Owners will also be able to add their own destinations using the devices" in-built camera, so that they can build up a store of more personal destinations and their photos.

Navman will also maintain an online image database, not only allowing drivers to download more pictures as their locations are logged, but also to share their recorded places with others, hopefully leading to a large collaborative library of useful places, selectable just by how they look.
