Japanese maker Mazda has peeled the wraps off its forthcoming city car, the Kiyora, which debuts at the Paris Motor Show.

Spotted undisguised on test, in pictures inside this week"s Auto Express you can clearly see the front of the facelifted MPV, which gets major changes to the bumper design. Its lower section incorporates repositioned foglights linked by a silver moulding spanning the width of the grille.
Bigger alterations will take place under the bonnet to bring the engine range in line with Euro IV emissions standards - which come into effect next year. First to go will be the existing 2.2 dCi, which makes way for a new 150bhp 2.0-litre. The fresh diesel debuted in the Laguna, and will slot neatly into the Espace.
A planned 175bhp version of this unit is also expected to appear in the big MPV. Another casualty will be the firm"s 1.9 dCi engine, although Renault has developed a 130bhp version that meets the new regulations. The remainder of the line-up, including the 3.5-litre V6 petrol and the 3.0 dCi, already comply.
Cosmetic changes for the makeover have been kept to a minimum, so the designers were clearly happy with the current car. A spokesman for the maker explained: "The Espace still sells very well." There are fresh alloys, while the optional full-length glass roof available on the existing model will be retained.
The revised range is tipped to debut at March"s Geneva Motor Show and go on sale soon afterwards. Prices are unlikely to change, which means entry-level vehicles start from only í‚á£19,950.
