Throwing litter out...
Throwing litter out of your car window is a shameful and anti-social habit. But itò€™s clearly addictive. More than 1.3 million bits of rubbish are dropped on Britainò€™s motorways every weekend. Thatò€™s over 67 million items a year, according to the Highways Agency.
Next month"s Paris Motor...
Next month"s Paris Motor Show will see the debut of the three-door Colt, the CZ3, which will form the basis of all sporty versions. It will be joined on the stage by Europe"s hottest variant, the 1.5-litre turbo CZT. With 150bhp, this newcomer is no slouch... but it won"t be able to keep pace with the car pictured here: Japan"s new Colt Evo.
Exclusive images in the current issue of Auto Express magazine reveal the Far Eastern hot hatch flagship to the world - and the influence of Mitsubishi"s rally team is clear. Oversized alloys, flared wheelarches and a huge rear wing combine to give this supermini a really muscular look. While it features the same engine as the CZT, the unit has been tuned to 170bhp, and power is fed through a five-speed manual gearbox.
Despite Mitsubishi"s 4x4 rally heritage, the Colt Evo is likely to be front-wheel drive, as developing an AWD set-up for the newcomer would prove too costly. But the superhatch is sure to have uprated suspension and brakes. There are currently no plans to bring the hot supermini flagship to the UK, but the first Japanese buyers will take delivery of their cars shortly before the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2005.
