Porsche has announced...

Porsche has announced a limited edition version of its acclaimed Cayman S mid-engined coupe. Going on sale in November, the “Porsche Design Edition 1”÷  will be a special series of just 777 cars worldwide, dominated by an all-black design motif running through the car, and each identified by a badge on the lid of the glove box. Cosmetically the influence of the Porsche Design Studio has resulted in a lot of dark materials: there"s black leather and Alcantara upholstery, a black centre console, fascia console, and door trims, while the three-spoke sports steering wheel, the gear lever, the handbrake grip, and the roof lining are clothed in non-slip black Alcantara. The Porsche logo crest is embossed on the seat headrests, and the instrument dial layout echoes that of Porsche Design timepieces.

Whether we’re...

Whether we’re car drivers, bikers or bus and coach users, we each have our corners to fight and are all entitled to our say. And the same is true of truck operators. As with the rest of us, they pay a high price to put their vehicles on the road and keep them running. And judging by the amount of complaints I have heard over the years from the lorry boys and girls – about everything from low profit margins to unfair competition created by foreign-registered vehicles – I always thought they were genuinely hard-up.

Just look what BMW has...

Just look what BMW has under wraps for the Frankfurt Motor Show!

According to our photographer, this is a stunning new eco sports coupe that will be the star of the German brand"s stand at its home show next month.

Spied being loaded for transport to the Frankfurt event, the green sports car concept is likely to feature the latest evolution of BMW"s Efficient Dynamics technologies and be powered by a new turbocharged three-cylinder engine along with a hybrid drivetrain.

It also debuts a new design direction, with a return to the legendary "shark nose" thanks to a very upright front end. This look is likely to appear on the upcoming new 3-Series. The rest of the car seems very coupe-like with a sweeping roofline.

BMW"s officially denying that this is its Frankfurt offering, and it"s not clear whether this is a two-door or even four-door concept ò€“ there"s a shut-line in the lower middle part of the body which suggests the doors are quite far forward indicating the latter ò€“ but whatever it is, it"ll certainly turn heads.

With the Frankfurt Motor Show on a month away, we"ll soon find out. Thanks to www.bimmerpost.com for the pictures.Ò
