Ford has bitten the...

Ford has bitten the "Bullitt" and is bringing back Steve McQueen, this time to promote the new Mustang. The actor, who died in 1980, will be digitally inserted into an ad based on the film Field of Dreams, with a race track appearing in the corn. McQueen starred in Ford"s 1997 Puma ads, and he drove a Mustang in the 1968 movie Bullitt.



The firm put the flags...

The firm put the flags of each of the new nations -Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Cyprus - on the cars. Another MINI was wearing the EU flag. They were part of an international roadshow which took place at Mini-Europe - a tourist attraction with 300 miniature versions of famous landmarks - in Brussels, Belgium.

Jeep is bringing boxy back! Following the lukewarm reception received by the current Cherokeeò€™s curvy lines in 2001, the US firm has reverted to the square styling of its Nineties model.

The new Cherokee, on sale this month, also gets uprated suspension and steering, plus leather trim and an optional ò€˜Sky Sliderò€™ canvas roof. Thereò€™s only one engine ò€“ a 2.8-litre diesel ò€“ and manual or auto boxes. Prices start at Ò£24,595.
