Is this the end of the blind spot? Nissan is developing a system that gives drivers a bird"s eye view of their car and the surrounding area. The image is shown on a monitor mounted on the dashboard. Rear view cameras are already offered on many of the Japanese firm"s cars, but this new set-up will add side and front-mounted units. The technology is expected to appear first on luxury Infiniti models when they go on sale in Europe in 2008.
