Who said van drivers can’t be stylish? A new range of sporty accessories is now available for the Peugeot 207 micro-van (right) – a version of the supermini without rear seats or windows. The kit includes RC decals for ÷£181, foglamps at ÷£93 and a set of 17-inch alloys costing ÷£579. Buyers can also specify a sports exhaust (÷£112) and a full bodykit (÷£990), which will add extra power and downforce to sharpen the Peugeot’s performance.

This muscle car created quite a stir at last week’s Specialty Equipment Market Association show (SEMA). Pictures of the stunning ’Cuda concept were leaked on the eve of the Las Vegas event, prompting wild speculation among fans. The striking coupé debuted on the Chrysler stand, and is inspired by the legendary Plymouth Barracuda. However, dreams of a comeback for the celebrated model were shattered on the opening day of the expo.

Is this the car that could replace the Toyota MR2? Itò€™s a two-seater coupé called the 2000 SR.

Created by Spanish studio Sure Design, the model pays homage to the Japanese manufacturerò€™s 2000GT of the Sixties. This was Toyotaò€™s first major attempt to launch into the supercar market. And because only 351 examples were built during its production run from 1967 to 1970, it is highly sought after by historic sports car fans. Sure Designò€™s modern interpretation of the 2000GT is a sharply styled two-door. And in a nod to Toyotaò€™s impressive record in alternative technology, the 2000 SR has two sources of power.

For the track, it uses a 600bhp 3.5-litre V6 turbocharged engine that runs on bioethanol. In this state, the car is rear-wheel drive for optimum handÒ­ling. However, on public roads, a second, front-mounted electric motor is brought into play. This is capable of driving the front wheels independently, and has been desÒ­igned to be emissions free.
