Here"s a Big Cat on...

Here"s a Big Cat on the prowl! This is Jaguar"s first-ever XF police pursuit vehicle and it"s currently being evaluated by forces across the country ò€“ so watch out.

Based on the latest XF Diesel S model, it features a 271bhp 3.0-litre twin-turbodiesel engine, along with a host of stripes, sirens and a light bar on the roof! According to Jaguar, the XF"s combination of performance, fuel economy and low CO2 emissions, meant it was more attractive to the police than rivals like BMW"s 5-Series and Mercedes" E-Class.

Geoff Cousins, Jaguar"s UK managing director, said: "Police forces are looking for vehicles that represent value for money, have good environmental credentials and deliver the power and performance required of a pursuit vehicle.

"The officers driving pursuit vehicles demand a very high level of performance and handling, as well as safety and comfort. We hope that with this amount of torque on tap ò€“ and a

0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds, we will meet and exceed the exacting

standards of any officer driving this car."
