DAVID Coulthard accused the race stewards of being heavy-handed, after being dropped to 13th on the starting grid for blocking Renault’s Heikki Kovalainen during qualifying.

“We have to respect their decision, but I think it was harsh,” said the Scot. “If you’ve done something sneaky, then you should be nailed for it. But this was just a genuine misunderstanding.”
