Could this be the answer to the UK"s transport problems? The dual-mode concept (below) can travel on both road and rails.

Designed by two stu-dents at Northumbria University, with the help of Silvertip Design engineering consultancy, the two-storey vehicle could carry 109 passengers or haul freight. A scale model was shown at last week"s NEC Commercial Vehicle Show.
