The current duty on liquefied petroleum gas is a mere 4.5 pence per litre, compared with 47.1 pence per litre on petrol and diesel - a differential that the Government has pledged can be reduced by only 1p per year between now and 2009.

Viewers complained the TV advert suggested the 2006 Fiesta (image) had voice control and an MP3 stereo as standard, when they were options. And the model had body-coloured mirrors, which are not available on all variants.
