Capable of 204mph, the new GT2 covers the 0-60mph dash in 3.6 seconds and will sprint from 0-100mph in 7.4 seconds.

Featuring a 530bhp version of the 911 Turbo’s flat-six engine, the GT2 swaps that car’s 4WD set-up for rear-wheel drive to save weight. Together with a stripped-out cabin, it tips the scales at 100kg less than the Turbo.

The bodyshell is strengthened, and fitted with stiffer suspension and ceramic brakes, while a roll cage is an option. The car gets a rectangular air intake and LED lights at the front, plus a wider rear with more air ducts and a bigger spoiler. UK sales start in November, with the price set at ÷£131,070 – which includes the cost of a day’s driver training.
