Buyers now have two new engine choices on the Audi A5. First up is a 261bhp 3.2-litre FSI petrol variant. Starting from ?33,230, it has a top speed of 155mph and will accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds.

For greater fuel efficiency, there is the entry-level 187bhp 2.7-litre TDI diesel version. This ?31,640 car can cover 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds, but will also return 42.2mpg. Top speed is 144mph. Both new models are front-wheel drive only and come with a multitronic CVT gearbox
