It hasnò€™t even hit...
It hasnò€™t even hit UK roads yet, but Ford is already chasing the warm hatch pack with the Fiesta Zetec S.
At the front, there...
At the front, there are bold new headlamps either side of the fresh grille, while a bigger air intake in the bumper pushes the foglamps further apart. The revisions have been carried out across the entire range - including the C+C - but fans of the big-selling family model can relax, because its distinctive rump has survived the remodelling.
Revised light clusters feature at the rear, along with protective bumper beading. Meanwhile, the cabin gets new trim with updated colour choices. The changes also extend to the engine bay, where a 150bhp 2.0-litre diesel unit debuts, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Euro IV-compliant motor already features in the Laguna, and gives the smaller M탩gane 52mpg potential. It is joined by a tweaked version of the existing 1.9-litre oil-burner, which produces 130bhp and is cleaner thanks to the addition of a particulate filter. Also, both the 100bhp and 80bhp versions of the 1.5 dCi benefit from a 5bhp power hike. The comprehensive petrol line-up is unchanged, and ranges from the entry-level 100bhp 1.4 to the Renault-sport model"s storming 225bhp 2.0T.
The M탩gane already has a five-star Euro NCAP rating, but the firm has boosted safety levels with the addition of a tyre pressure-monitoring system to the options list. The facelifted model range goes on sale at the beginning of February, and while final prices are yet to be confirmed, they are not expected to change significantly.
