The tyre features an asymч­metric tread and has a special silica compound for strong performance on soaking roads, while its construction maximises contact with the tarmac. The 31-strong range incorporates sizes from 185/60 R14 to 205/50 R17.

For SUV drivers, there’s the Grandч­trek Touring A/S, which can be found as original equipment on luxury off-roaders from makers such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes. With its all-season technology, it has a polymer blend compound and an asymmetric tread that is a cross between conventional and winter patterns. Drivers who want a super-grippy tyre can try the SP Sport MaxxGT. Dunlop’s racing-inspired silica compound is used in the high-performance design, which the firm claims is the ultimate dry road tyre. Aimed at GTs and sporting saloons and hatches, it comes in 18 and 19-inch sizes.
