A blanket ban on smoking in cars in which children are
passengers is being called for by the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child
Health.
Professor Terence Stephenson, head of the college,
commented: ň€śYou canň€™t inflict this on your colleagues anymore. Why should we
treat our Childrenň€™s health as a lower priority?ň€ť
Deborah Arnott, chief executive of the anti-smoking
charity Action on Smoking and Health added: ň€śSmoking just one cigarette, even
with the window open, creates a greater concentration of second-hand smoke than
a whole evening"s smoking in a pub or a barň€ť.
Another arguments for the ban include potential
